Case #8671
Upper Blepharoplasty
This lovely woman wanted to highlight her eyes more. She felt that the excess skin and fat of her upper lids made her look tired and sleepy. She told us that people kept asking her is she was tired or she was angry.
After consultation, a recommendation was made to do an upper blepharoplasty. The goals of the upper blepharoplasty were remove a small amount of excess skin, and remove herniated fat of bilateral upper eyelids. The upper blepharoplasty was tailored to her specific eye shape. She had an almond-shaped eye with excess skin and excess fat weighing her upper eyelid area down, but we still wanted to maintain the volume of her upper eyelid region and not over-hollow her.
The patient underwent an upper blepharoplasty under local anesthesia. The procedure was approximately 40 minutes.
The “After” pictures show the patient approximately 2 months after surgery. Her eyes are more open, yet she appears natural without being overdone. The scar is in the upper eyelid crease and is non-noticeable.
